Grandle Named CCC Player of the Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University's Lizzy Grandle has been named Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for her standout field performance last week.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Field Athlete
Grandle delivered a dominant showing at the Pacific Multis on Monday and Tuesday, competing in her first outdoor heptathlon since 2024. She claimed the overall title with 4,587 points, highlighted by three individual event victories.

She set the tone early with a first-place finish in the 100m hurdles (15.29) and carried that momentum into a win in the 200m (26.10). Grandle also secured top honors in the shot put with a throw of 12.19m.

Her consistency across all seven events proved key, as she added a third-place finish in the high jump (1.53m), fifth in the long jump (4.88m), second in the javelin (33.84m), and sixth in the 800m (2:38.59).

Grandle's performance not only earned her the heptathlon title but also moved her to the top of the NAIA leaderboard. She now leads the nation by 105 points, putting herself in strong position to qualify for nationals.

The honor marks Grandle's third career Player of the Week selection and a strong return to outdoor competition.
