Triple-Digit Triumph: Eastern Oregon Cruises Past Evergreen

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University men's basketball team posted a triple-digit scoring effort for the third time this season on Friday night at Quinn Coliseum, rolling past The Evergreen State College, 105–80, in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

Eastern Oregon came out firing in the first half, building a 55-37 lead by halftime behind balanced scoring and efficient shooting. The Mounties shot 60.0% from the field in the game and hit 37.9% from three-point range, quickly pulling away from TESC with early pressure on both ends of the floor. The Mounties nearly doubled the Geoducks rebounds, taking advantage of their offensive rebounds and consistently capitalizing on offensive boards and steals. The Mounties also dominated inside, scoring 58 points in the paint.

Eamon Monahan led the balanced Mountie attack with 22 points, going 9-for-11 from the floor and 3-for-3 from deep, while adding seven rebounds. Porter Abrams recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, dominating the glass and shooting an excellent 70%. James Bodily scored 18 points, including three three-pointers, and Cole Hammack contributed 15 points in the victory.

Trent Rogers contributed nine points, while the Mounties' depth played a major role in the victory, as Eastern Oregon received 45 points from the bench to maintain offensive pressure throughout the contest.

Evergreen was led by Tony Frohlich-Fair's 29 points, the game's leading scorer, and only Geoduck to score in the double digits. Despite his scoring effort, Eastern Oregon's rebounding advantage and balanced offense proved decisive.

The Mountaineers maintained control throughout both halves, outpacing TESC in points in the paint and second-chance opportunities to secure the convincing win.

Eastern Oregon will return to Quinn Coliseum tomorrow night to host Northwest University at 3 PM.
