KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon University junior Lexie Garza has been named the NAIA Women's Wrestler of the Week following a dominant dual victory and a championship performance at the Mountaineer Open, announced Wednesday morning by the national office.

Garza, a native of Wapato, Washington, competed last weekend in a dual against Big Bend Community College before taking part in the Mountaineer Open at Quinn Coliseum. Across both events, she went a perfect 4-0, recording a pin in every match to claim the 131-pound bracket title.

She opened the weekend with a 1:19 pin against Big Bend Community College, then continued her momentum at the Mountaineer Open with pins in 0:13, 1:09, and 0:55 to secure the championship.

On the season, Garza owns a 9-4 overall record, highlighted by eight falls and one decision victory.
