Eastern Oregon Rises in National Poll After 3-0 Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon Women's Basketball moved up one spot to No.14 in the latest Top 25 Coaches Poll, released Wednesday morning. 

The Mountaineers sit alone atop of the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings with a 13-3 conference record and have clinched a berth in the CCC Tournament. 

Since the previous poll, EOU went 3-0, with victories over Warner Pacific, Evergreen State, and Northwest University. 

Individually, Kelsie Siegner ranks second in the conference in rebounds per game (8.2) and total blocks (44). Mckayla Torkornoo is second in three-point percentage (41.5%), while Kaiea Waiwaiole ranks third in field goal percentage (54.8%).

The CCC was also represented in the poll by No.12 Lewis-Clark State. Southern Oregon (65), Oregon Tech (6), and The College of Idaho (2) also received votes. 

Eastern Oregon returns to action Friday, February 13, traveling to Eugene, Oregon to face Bushnell University at 5:30 PM.
