KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon Women's Basketball has received votes in the Preseason NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

Following a successful 2025-26 season that ended with a Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season co-championship, an automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament First Round, and a No.14 national ranking, the Mountaineers enter the 2026-27 season receiving votes in the national preseason polls.

Despite last season's success, the Mountaineers look to rebuild after losing four of their five starters and several key contributors. With the departures of CCC Defensive Player of the Year Kelsie Siegner, honorable mention selection Maggie Smith, and key contributors Kaiea Waiwaiole, Brinley Hagemeier, and Raquel Fehringer, EOU turns to senior honorable mention selection Kali Kast, junior Haylee Johnson, and sophomore Avery Peterson to help lead the Mounties through a new season.

The Cascade Collegiate Conference is represented in the preseason poll by No. 22 College of Idaho and No. 23 Oregon Tech, while Corban and Lewis-Clark State also received votes.

Eastern Oregon will kick off thier preseason this weekend at the Northwest Crossover Classic in Spokane, Washington.
