GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three Eastern Oregon University student-athletes have been named to the 2025-2026 Academic All-District Football Team, as announced Tuesday morning by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The honor recognizes their outstanding achievements both on the field and in the classroom.
Representing EOU Football are
Sosaia Raass,
Waylon Riedel, and
Malakai Nutter. All three qualified by competing in the majority of their team's contest while exceeding the required cumulative 3.5 GPA threshold.
Raass, a senior defensive back from Meridian, Idaho, is majoring in Accounting and appeared in eight games. He finished the season with 14 solo tackles, six assisted tackles, and five pass breakups. His performance also earned him Frontier Conference Football Honorable Mention All-Conference honors.
Riedel, a junior full back from Estacada, Oregon, is also majoring in Business Administration. He played in eight games, rushing 42 times for 112 yards, averaging 14 yards per game. He added 41 passing yards on 10 receptions.
Nutter, a redshirt sophomore running back from Bend, Oregon, is majoring in Business Administration. He appeared in nine games during the season, recording 12 rushing attempts for 42 yards. In the passing game, he caught eight passes for 32 yards.
The Academic All-District Teams are selected by College Sports Communicators who recognize the nation's top student-athletes across four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA – for each gender.
All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, and
Sosaia Raass has been selected as a finalist. Academic All-America selections will be announced Tuesday, January 13th.
