HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has announced the 2026 football schedule. The slate includes two cross-division matchups and six divisional games, with home-and-away sites reversing from the 2025 season. Eastern Oregon will also open the year with two non-conference matchups.

The NAIA football regular season begins Thursday, Aug. 27. Eastern Oregon will open its season Saturday, Aug. 29, hosting The College of Idaho in a nonconference contest, followed by another nonconference matchup against Whitworth University on Sept. 12.

West Division play begins in October and will count toward conference standings. After a bye week on Oct. 3, Eastern opens conference play on the road at Arizona Christian on Oct. 10.
The Mountaineers will then host Southern Oregon on Oct. 17, travel to The College of Idaho on Oct. 24, host Montana Western on Oct. 31, travel to Simpson on Nov. 7, and close the regular season at home against Carroll on Nov. 14.

All game times are scheduled for 1 p.m., except for the two matchups against The College of Idaho, which are set for 6 p.m. Kickoff times for the Valley City State and Montana Western games are still to be determined.

The winners of the Frontier Conference's East and West divisions will receive the league's automatic bids to the NAIA Football Championship Series, which begins Nov. 21.
