Women's Track & Field Hope Maes, Sports Information Director

Track & Field Turns in Solid Results at Inland Northwest Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Eastern Oregon Men's and Women's Track and Field team continued 
their indoor season with another strong performance at the Inland Northwest Invitational on Saturday at The Podium. The meet featured a competitive field of 22 programs representing the NAIA, NCAA Division I, and NCAA Division II levels.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Nick Robinson made an impressive collegiate debut, placing fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.92, tying for fourth all-time at EOU.
  • Jayce Bartley finished 15th in the 200 meters in 22.33, ranking fourth all-time at EOU, while Robinson followed with a 23.03 effort to place 22nd (22nd all-time at EOU).
  • In the 400 meters, Osman Osman (48.81) and Peter Daniels (49.33) recorded fourth- and fifth-place finishes, respectively.
  • Cristian Mendoza placed ninth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:30.60, moving to seventh all-time at EOU.
  • Nathan Wachs earned a third-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.96 meters (6-5), which ranks 15th all-time at EOU.
  • Jack Herman also secured a third-place finish, clearing 4.62 meters (15-1.75) in the pole vault to rank 13th all-time at EOU.
  • Mark Church placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 15.10 meters (49-6.5), moving to fourth all-time at EOU.
  • The men's 4x400 relay team of Nathan King, Reuben Manzer, Evan Gunning, and Carsten Volkers finished fifth in 3:23.70, ranking 17th all-time at EOU.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Sydney Peck continued her strong season with a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles, improving her time to 9.06 while maintaining her position at third all-time at EOU.
  • Alivia Mode placed 10th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.54, tying for 15th all-time at EOU.
  • Mattie Woodbury finished 16th in the mile, posting a time of 5:21.33 to rank 15th all-time at EOU.
  • Four Mountaineers finished inside the top 20 of the 200 meters, highlighted by Melanie Boatman's 18th-place finish, which ranks 15th all-time at EOU.
  • Peck also competed in the 400 meters, finishing 16th with a time of 59.82 to rank 16th all-time at EOU.
  • The women's 4x400 relay team of Madi Douglas, Lizzy Grandle, Melanie Boatman, and Kalyiah Chronister placed fourth with a time of 4:03.37, moving to 23rd all-time at EOU.

The Mountaineers will return to action Saturday, February 7, hosting the EOU Lew Thorne Invite in the fieldhouse.
