CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University's
Joslyn Sizemore has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for her standout defensive performance last week.
The redshirt sophomore from Central Point, Oregon, was a dominant presence on both ends of the pitch. Sizemore's defensive efforts were crucial to the 1-0 shutout victory over Park University-Gilbert on Wednesday afternoon, anchoring the backline to help hold the Buccaneers to just one shot throughout the entire match.
Sizemore continued her strong play on Sunday in the 2-2 draw against Whitman College, again helping to limit the Blues to only four shots on goal. She also made a key offensive contribution, scoring the 19th minute goal and recording two total shots.
This marks the second time this season Sizemore has scored as a defender, highlighting her versatility and impact all over the pitch.
