Kiauna Mack has been named the NAIA Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week following a dominant showing at the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge, announced by the national office on Tuesday.
Mack anchored the Mountaineer defense with 28 total blocks across four matches, including a standout 11-block performance in a sweep over No. 24 William Carey. She currently leads both the Cascade Collegiate Conference and the NAIA with an average of 2.15 blocks per set.
Along with her impeccable defense, Mack also led the Mounties offensively with 43 kills (3.31 per set). Her two-way efforts last week combined for 63 points, also a team-best.
This marks the second time in her career that Mack has earned the national weekly honor, as she was previously recognized in October of last year.
Mack and the Mountaineers will return to action this weekend at the College of Saint Mary's Labor Day Classic in Omaha, Nebraska.
