Eastern Oregon Earns President's Cup Academic Honors

CORVALLIS, Ore. Eastern Oregon joined nine other Cascade Collegiate Conference institutions that earned Presidents' Academic Excellence status for the recently completed 2024–25 school year, the conference office announced. Eastern Oregon finished the year with a 3.41 overall GPA and 72% Academic All-Conference eligibility.

"Earning the Presidents' Academic Excellence designation represents the highest academic honor our departments can earn from the CCC," stated CCC Commissioner Robert Cashell. "It is a great accomplishment and recognizes the outstanding efforts in the classroom."

To receive the designation, a department must achieve an overall combined GPA of 3.0 or better among their student-athletes (men/women) who compete in sports in which the CCC declares a champion, and have 60% or more of student-athletes who are eligible to receive Academic All-Conference recognition (sophomore standing and 3.2 GPA) do so.

Eastern Oregon achieved an average cumulative GPA of 3.41, meeting the criteria for the award this academic year—an improvement from the 3.30 GPA attained during last year's qualification period. Additionally, they secured the honor with 72% of student-athletes eligible to receive Academic All-Conference accolades, up 6% from the previous year.
