Eastern Oregon Women’s Wrestling Wraps Up Competition at NWCA Women’s Nationals

SPOKANE, Wash. – Eastern Oregon University's women's wrestling contingent closed out a hard-fought weekend at the 2025 NWCA Women's Nationals, highlighted by a seventh-place finish from U23 wrestler Liv Wieber (ID) at 68 kilograms.

Wieber scored 23 team points in the U23 bracket and claimed seventh place after picking up two early-round decisions and a pin in the consolation bracket. She capped her tournament with a win by forfeit over Valerie Hamilton (IL) in the seventh-place match.

In the U20 division, Nia Avelino (ID) (50 kg) tallied 11 points after splitting her bracket matches. Avelino opened with a first-round fall before dropping a decision in the championship second round. She rebounded with a 4-0 decision on the consolation side but was eliminated by technical fall in her next match.

Fellow U20 competitor Gloria Diaz (WA) (53 kg) finished her tournament with 13 points. Diaz earned two victories by fall in the opening and consolation rounds before exiting in the third consolation match.

At 72 kilograms, Chloe Overgaag (CA) amassed 17 points. Overgaag notched multiple wins—including two pins and an 11-10 decision—before bowing out in the fourth consolation round by a 10-0 technical fall.

Savannah Roblin (OR) (65 kg) went 0-2 on the weekend, while Telsarina Walter (OR) (50 kg) fought her way to a 1-2 record, picking up a 5-2 decision in the consolation bracket for four team points.
