BOISE, Idaho – Eastern Oregon Track & Field battled through changing weather conditions to notch several NAIA qualifying performances Friday at the Twilight Invite hosted by Boise State University.
Highlighting the day was a school record in the women's 4x100-meter relay, as Karina DeYoung, Sydney Peck, Nora Roscoe, and Sara McKen clocked 47.15 seconds to break the EOU record and hit the NAIA B standard. The women's 4x800-meter relay team of Carlee Jensen, Skotlyn Hill, Mattie Woodbury, and Riley Morris also delivered a standout showing, finishing in 9:14.70 to meet the NAIA A standard and record the third-fastest time in program history.
Despite battling wind and rain, Adrienne Washington matched the school record in the women's high jump by clearing 1.70 meters, surpassing the NAIA A standard. On the track, Austin Uhl secured a NAIA B mark in the men's 800 meters, clocking 1:51.55 for the fourth-fastest time in EOU history, while Bryson Spears made the NAIA B standard in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.76 seconds.
In the field events, Tanner Nett hit the NAIA A standard exactly in the men's shot put, recording a mark of 16.74 meters.
Eastern Oregon will close out the regular season push at the OSU High Performance Meet & Linfield Open next Saturday
