CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University women's soccer was well represented in the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference postseason awards, with freshman
Siena Salazar tabbed as the CCC McDonald's Co-Newcomer of the Year presented by UEN, and five additional Mountaineers earning All-Conference honors.
Salazar shared the conference newcomer recognition with Ella Baker of Northwest and Tori Lasch of Southern Oregon after a dominant freshman campaign. The Eastvale, California native ranked second on the team with five goals, added two assists, and totaled 12 points. She made an immediate impact, scoring in her collegiate debut versus Dordt, and continued to be a consistent attacking presence all season long.
Also representing EOU with All-CCC nods were
Peyton Jacaway and
Joslyn Sizemore on the First Team,
Macy Reed and
Ava Henkemeyer on the Second Team, and
Karina DeYoung earning Honorable Mention honors.
Jacaway, the junior captain from Elko, Nevada, has been a steady presence in the Mountie midfield as one of just two players to start all 18 matches this season. She led the team in both goals (7) and points (16) while adding two assists and maintaining an impressive .714 shots-on-goal percentage. Jacaway earned CCC Player of the Week honors on October 20 after scoring both penalty-kick goals in Eastern's 2-1 victory over Southern Oregon and netting the game-winner over Oregon Tech the same weekend.
Sizemore, a redshirt sophomore out of Central Point, Oregon, was a defensive standout all year while also contributing offensively with three goals and an assist. She recorded two game-winners, including the decisive strike in a 1-0 victory over Corban during the Mountaineers' conference home-opening weekend. Sizemore was also named CCC Player of the Week earlier this season after anchoring EOU's backline in the shutout of Park University-Gilbert and scoring in a 2-2 draw with NCAA opponent Whitman.
Reed, a sophomore native to Roy, Utah, led the Mounties with five assists while adding two goals for nine total points. A commanding presence in the midfield, she played a crucial role in facilitating Eastern's offense throughout the season.
Henkemeyer, a sophomore forward from Forest Grove, Oregon, finished third on the team in both goals (4) and points (10) while also contributing two assists. She tallied two game-winning goals, including the final boot in the Mountaineers' 3-2 victory over Providence, where she registered a career-high seven shots with six on frame.
DeYoung, the senior captain hailing from Meridian, Idaho, made the most of her final season, earning her second consecutive All-Conference award after holding down the EOU defense. She was the second Mountie to start all 18 games alongside Jacaway, helping the backline limit opponents to just 62 shots on goal. DeYoung also added two goals and four assists for eight total points, including the game-winner in Eastern's 1-0 win over Northwest last weekend — the Mountaineers' first victory in Kirkland in eight years.
EOU now enters the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament with a 13-4-1 overall record and a 10-2 mark in CCC play, earning the No. 3 seed. The Mountaineers will face Oregon Tech in the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 8.
