Mountaineers Climb in National Poll, Three Athletes in the Latest NAIA Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon University Men's Wrestling has climbed one spot in the first NAIA Regular-Season Top 25  rankings, tying with Corban University for the No. 20 position with 61 points, as announced by the NAIA national office on Thursday morning.

Three Mountaineers continue to feature in the national individual rankings, with Jackson Eylar rising to No. 4 in the 125-pound class and Eric Karas maintaining his position at No. 13 in the 197-pound division. Meanwhile, Nicolas Rodriguez remained at No. 3 in the 285-pound class, after dominating in the four matches he competed in over the weekend, which included a 4-1 sudden victory, two technical falls (20-4 and 19-4), and 2:25 pin.

The rankings are determined through a voting process in which a panel of head coaches from each conference evaluates team and individual performances using a points-based system.
