Rodriguez Becomes Two-Time All-American at NAIA Championships

PARK CITY, Kan. – On the final day of the 2026 NAIA Men's Wrestling Championships, Eastern Oregon's Nico Rodriguez secured a seventh-place finish at 285 pounds, earning All-American honors for the second consecutive year.

After dropping his opening match, Rodriguez battled his way through the consolation bracket to reach the seventh-place match on the final day of the national tournament. Facing a familiar opponent, the No. 5 seed squared off against No. 14 Ethan DeRoche of Providence.

Rodriguez took control early, building a 4–0 lead before securing the pin at the 5:48 mark to claim seventh place and cement his spot on the All-American podium.

Rodriguez closes the 2025–26 season with a 27–10 overall record, a seventh-place national finish, and his second straight All-American honor.
