CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Men's Wrestling team has been selected to finish seventh in the 2025-2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll, announced Thursday. The Mountaineers received 68 points, placing them behind Southern Oregon (111), University of Providence (108), Embry-Riddle (95), Corban (77), MSU-Northern (77), and Arizona Christian (71).
Last season, the Mounties wrapped up the year with a 7-9 record, finishing sixth at the conference championship and 23rd at Nationals. Under the leadership of Coach
Dustyn Azure, six wrestlers qualified for the NAIA National Championships, with Heavyweight
Nico Rodriguez earning All-American Honors by finishing fifth in his weight class. Rodriguez returns this season alongside national qualifiers
Jackson Eylar,
Eric Karas, and
Braden Carson. While the team will miss the contributions of All-American
Kyle Knudtson and National Qualifier
Jaxon Morlan, the addition of promising newcomers
Daniel Guerrero and
Koda King brings fresh talent to the Mounties roster.
Eastern Oregon will begin their season on Saturday November 1st as they host Clackamas Community College in Quinn Coliseum. The match time is set for 12:00 pm.
