EUGENE, Ore. – No. 1 Eastern Oregon University volleyball was quick to bounce back from last night's loss, sweeping the No. 23-ranked Bushnell Beacons on their home court, 25-12, 25-16, 25-18.
The Mountaineers (21-1, 13-1 CCC) hit an unstoppable .469 percent while committing only four errors as a team, the lowest amount they've had in a single match all season. EOU also managed to hold the Beacons (14-10, 8-6) to a .168 clip, out-blocking them 5-1.
Kiauna Mack led on both sides of the ball, racking up 13 kills on a ridiculous .765 percentage and having a hand in all of the Mounties' blocks.
Keira Vaughn followed up with 11 kills (.500 pct), completing her fourth errorless game out of the last five played.
Brooklyn Willard,
Mylie Mills, and
McKenzie Jonas all added seven kills apiece, and
Emma Burlingame contributed the final four. At the heart of the attack was
Kate Stidham with 30 assists, and Willard led Eastern with 11 digs.
Next up, the Mountaineers return to La Grande for their penultimate home stand. They'll get things started with a match against Oregon Tech on Friday night, followed by contests with (RV) Southern Oregon and No. 19 College of Idaho.
