LA GRANDE, Ore. — Eastern Oregon women's basketball team's dominant first half led them to a commanding 90-36 victory over the Warner Pacific Knights in Cascade Collegiate Conference play Friday night.
EOU set the tone early, erupting for a 30-7 lead in the first quarter and maintaining control throughout the game. The Mounties' efficiency on both ends of the court was evident as they shot an impressive 54.7% from the field, including 63.6% from three-point range.
Eastern Oregon's offensive depth proved crucial, with 12 players scoring. Mya Alvarado led the charge with a game-high 14 points, shooting 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. Kali Kast and Haylee Johnson added 14 and 11 points, respectively, while Brinley Hagemeier contributed 10 rebounds and 8 points.
Eastern Oregon's defense forced 19 turnovers and held Warner Pacific to single-digit scoring in two quarters. The Mountaineers held the Knights to just 24.0% from the field and 5.3% from three-point range.
