Eastern Oregon Volleyball Secures 3-1 Victory Over Warner Pacific

LA GRANDE, Ore. Eastern Oregon Volleyball picked up a dominant 3-1 win over Warner Pacific University Knights in Cascade Collegiate Conference action Friday evening at Quinn Coliseum. The Mountaineers, ranked No. 2 nationally, improved their record to 15-1 overall and 7-1 in CCC play.

EOU took the first set convincingly, 25-12, before dropping a closely contested second set 22-25. The Mountaineers regained control in the third and fourth sets, winning 25-7 and 25-11, respectively, to secure the match.

Eastern Oregon was led offensively by McKenzie Jonas, who had a standout performance with 11 kills and a .562 hitting percentage. Keira Vaughn and Ashton Bales contributed 11 and 10 kills, respectively, while Mylie Mills dominated defensively with 6 blocks. The Mountaineers posted an impressive .306 hitting percentage as a team.

Warner Pacific struggled to find their rhythm, hitting just .037 as a team, with their highest output coming in the second set. Senior Elizabeth Reid was the Knights' top performer, finishing with 9 kills and 7 block assists. The Knights, winless on the season, fall to 0-10 overall and 0-8 in CCC play.

EOU's serving proved pivotal, as they recorded 12 service aces, including 4 from Hannah Ledgerwood and 3 each from Alexis McMurtrey and Hannah Ramage. McMurtrey also dished out 20 assists to pace the Mountaineer attack.
