LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon's women's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 loss to Northwest University on Saturday evening, with the Eagles breaking the deadlock one second before time expired.
A costly foul by the Mounties with three seconds remaining in the match allowed Northwest to line up a free kick, and Alivia Berry rifled a shot into the back of the net at the 89:59 mark.
Eastern Oregon controlled much of the game, outshooting Northwest 17-6, including 11 shots in the second half. The Mounties had several chances throughout the game, with Jillian Brown, Peyton Jacaway, and Gracie Hoover both registering multiple shots on target. The Eagles' goalkeeper, Katie Snow, kept her team alive until the final buzzer, making seven saves in the contest.
EOU goalkeeper Hannah Krantz made two saves before the final goal.

Following the loss, the Mounties move to 2-2-2 on the season. Eastern Oregon will look to bounce back next weekend when they face the Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears on September 29th in Billings, Montana.
