LA GRANDE, Ore. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association named its list of 2024-23 Team Academic Awards on Wednesday, with Eastern Oregon Volleyball qualifying for the recognition.

A record number of volleyball programs have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT. More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.

Eastern Oregon is joined by Bushnell, College of Idaho, Lewis-Clark State, and Southern Oregon in representing the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

The Mountaineer volleyball program adds to its long list of accomplishments this past season, including seven Daktronics Scholar-Athletes and four named to the 2023 Academic All-District Team. This season marks the team's 11th overall and 10th consecutive year receiving the Team Academic Award.
