NEW ORLEANS, La. - Eastern Oregon Men's & Women's Track & Field has been named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, with 22 athletes earning individual honors.
To be named an NAIA All-Academic Team in Indoor and/or Outdoor Track & Field, a team must meet specific academic criteria. Firstly, all student-athletes listed on the eligibility certificate must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including grades from the most recent grading period. Secondly, the team's cumulative GPA is determined by totaling the quality points earned by all student-athletes and dividing this by the total number of semester or quarter hours earned. These standards ensure recognition for academic excellence alongside athletic achievement.
In addition to the team recognitions, 22 Mountaineers qualified as an NAIA All-Academic Athlete, meeting specific criteria such as: maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale by the end of the competition semester, completing at least 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) at their institution, and achieving a qualifying mark in an event during either the indoor or outdoor track and field season.
