Records Fall at CCC Multis and EOU Open

LA GRANDE, Ore. - Friday was another historic day for Eastern Oregon Outdoor Track and Field, claiming one conference championship and several records falling at Banner Bank Track.

CCC Multi-Events Championships

TJ Davis picked up right where he left off in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Decathlon, winning the competition with an impressive overall score of 6,996, the best in the NAIA this season. Davis won seven out of ten events, setting five different conference decathlon records. Trailing right behind, Israel Miles finished second with a total of 6,082 points, good for the eighth best in the nation.

In the Women's Heptathlon, Elizabeth Grandle finished second with a total score of 4,946 points, breaking Talia Hackney's record that had previously stood since 1989. The trio of Adrienne Washington (4,350 points), Karli Bedard (4,340 points), and Samantha Conley (4,288 points) once again stayed close together, taking the 5th, 6th, and 7th place spots respectively.

EOU Open

Men's Track

400-METER: Osman Osman kicked the EOU Open off with a new program record in the 400-meter dash, clinching a "B" standard with a time of 48.21 seconds.

400-METER HURDLES: Bryson Spears once again broke the "A" standard mark in the 400 meter hurdles with an impressive time of 53.69 seconds.

Women's Track

4x400-METER RELAY: A collection of Kadence Beck, Skotlyn Hill, Sydney Peck, and Katie Brown made sure cross the "A" standard mark with a time of 3:56.99 in the 4x400 meter relay.

Men's Field

HIGH JUMP: Tyler Jones moved up to #4 in the EOU high jump record books with a leap of 2.08 meters, earning an "A" standard.

HAMMER: With an "A" standard worthy throw of 54.62 meters, Mark Church now sits #5 in the EOU records books.

SHOT PUT: Tanner Nett once again earned an "A" Standard in the men's shot put, this time with an impressive heave of 17.34 meters.

Women's Field

HAMMER: Kenna Woodward earned an "A" Standard with a hammer throw of 53.59 meters, followed by Trinity Hill with a "B" standard toss of 50.19 meters.

Eastern Oregon Outdoor Track & Field will return to action next Friday when they travel to Corvallis to compete in the OSU High Performance Invitational.
