Eastern Oregon Falls to Lewis-Clark On Last Second Three

LEWISTON, Idaho — Eastern Oregon University's late rally fell just short Friday night as the Mountaineers dropped a 79-76 decision to Lewis-Clark State in a tightly contested Cascade Collegiate Conference matchup at the P1FCU Activity Center.

The Warriors' 56.5% first-half shooting helped build a 37-31 halftime lead. The Mountaineers surged in the second half, thanks to a 19-point outburst from Garrett Hawkes, who hit crucial shots to keep EOU in contention. Eastern Oregon briefly led 74-72 with two minutes to play.

However, Lewis-Clark State responded, with MaCarhy Morris knocking down a decisive three-pointer in the final seconds to secure the win. Eastern Oregon was efficient from the free-throw line (22-of-29, 75.9%) and forced 17 turnovers, scoring 25 points off them, but couldn't overcome the Warriors' balanced attack.

Key Performers:
