CALDWELL, Idaho — Eastern Oregon Women's Basketball captured its first victory of the season on Saturday, defeating Hope International University 81-73 on day two of the Best Western Caldwell Inn and Suites Classic.

The Mountaineers (1-1) overcame a tough first quarter, where they trailed by seven, rallying to take control after outscoring the Royals 20-10 in the second quarter. In a back-and-forth second half, EOU outscored Hope by 10 points in the final quarter to secure the victory. The game featured seven lead changes.

Eastern Oregon's Kelsie Siegner led all scorers with 25 points and added 10 rebounds, marking her second double-double of the season.
