PORTLAND, Ore. — Eastern Oregon Volleyball clinched a share of the Cascade Collegiate Conference regular-season title with a dominant 3-0 sweep over Warner Pacific (25-13, 25-16, 25-9) on Saturday at CC Perry Gymnasium. With this win, EOU (27-3, 18-3 CCC) shares the conference title in a three-way tie with Southern Oregon and Corban. All three teams swept one of the others during the regular season, sharing the title with three conference losses each.
The Mountaineers showcased efficiency in their attack, posting a .397 hitting percentage and overpowering Warner Pacific (2-22, 2-20 CCC) with contributions across the lineup. Ashton Bales led the way with eight kills on a .400 hitting percentage, while Madison Morgan and Brooke Womack each added six and seven kills, respectively. EOU also excelled from the service line, tallying five aces, including two from Hailey Arritola.
EOU's defense held Warner Pacific to a negative hitting percentage of -.048, limiting the Knights to just 18 kills in three sets. Arritola also led with nine digs, while setter Alexis McMurtrey facilitated the offense with 13 assists.
With this victory, the Mountaineers secure the CCC regular season crown, heading into the CCC tournament with momentum as they aim for an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. Eastern Oregon, winning the tiebreaker over Southern Oregon and Corban, will host the upcoming CCC Tournament in La Grande, Oregon, beginning on November 15, with more information soon to come.
