Knudtson Notches 100th Win as No. 14 Mountaineers Dominate Doubleheader

LA GRANDE, Ore. — No. 14 Eastern Oregon University delivered a commanding performance Saturday, shutting out The Evergreen State College 52-0 before earning a decisive 28-12 victory over No. 16 Montana State University-Northern. The Mountaineers celebrated a historic milestone as senior Kyle Knudtson secured his 100th career win, a key highlight in the team's dominant day on the mat.

In the opening dual against the Geoducks, Eastern Oregon showcased its depth, claiming victories in all 10 weight classes, including three wins by fall. Jaxon Morlan earned a technical fall victory at 149 pounds over Horacio Godinez, while Kai Carson and Trevan Hokland added pins at 133 and 174 pounds, respectively. Heavyweight Darrian Hoobery and Stone Robledo also added six points apiece via forfeits to complete the rout.

The second dual against the Lights was a tighter contest, but the Mountaineers came through in critical moments. Jack Eylar started the dual with a narrow 6-5 decision at 125 pounds, while Carson and Cole Cross followed with back-to-back falls at 133 and 141 pounds. Morlan remained consistent, earning a decisive 8-1 win at 149 pounds. Knudtson, ranked No. 3 nationally at 184 pounds, won by an 8-5 decision over Devin Crawford to achieve his career milestone, capping off a perfect 2-0 day.
