Mountaineers Climb to Third in Latest NAIA Volleyball Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Eastern Oregon Volleyball moved up to No. 3 in the latest NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches Top 25 Poll, announced by the NAIA office on Wednesday. The Mountaineers (23-3, 15-3 CCC) improved one position from the previous ranking and currently hold first place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with four regular-season matches remaining.

Northwestern (Iowa) retained its position as the unanimous No. 1, claiming all 21 first-place votes. The poll saw limited movement, with only six teams changing positions, while Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.) made its program-first Top 25 appearance at No. 25. Concordia (Neb.) advanced to No. 2, shifting Eastern Oregon up to third, followed by Jamestown (N.D.) at fourth and Indiana Wesleyan in fifth.

Within the CCC, the Mountaineers are currently tied with Southern Oregon and Corban for the conference lead, as each team continues to contend for the title heading into the postseason.

The NAIA Coaches Poll is determined by a panel of head coaches representing conferences and independents across the country, with a points-based system that awards 30 points for a first-place vote, 29 for second, and so on. Eastern Oregon returns to La Grande on Halloween to host the Walla Walla Wolves, with the match set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
