CORVALLIS, Ore. — Eastern Oregon volleyball standout Alexis McMurtrey has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Setter of the Week for the second time this season and the tenth time in her career. The senior setter from Idaho Falls, Idaho, played a crucial role in EOU's back-to-back wins over The Evergreen State College and Northwest University.

McMurtrey orchestrated the Mountaineers' offense with 49 assists, averaging 6.13 assists per set, along with 26 digs (3.25 digs per set) and a service ace. EOU swept The Evergreen State College 3-0 and earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Northwest University, with McMurtrey's play proving instrumental in both matchups.

This marks the tenth CCC Setter of the Week honor in McMurtrey's distinguished career, reinforcing her status as one of the top setters in the conference and the nation. McMurtrey has played a crucial role in propelling Eastern Oregon to a 23-2 overall record, first place in conference play at 15-2, and recognition as the No. 4 team in the country.

The Mountaineers will travel to Caldwell tomorrow for their matchup with the College of Idaho at 7:00 p.m. MT.
