SALEM, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers battled to a 2-2 draw against the Corban Warriors on Friday afternoon, with both teams displaying strong offensive and defensive performances.
The Warriors took an early lead in the first minute of the game, as Abril Dimas Camacho scored an unassisted goal to put Corban ahead. EOU responded in the 15th minute when
Kaydence Martinez, rifled one in the net off a Kapri Macmillan assist to level it 1-1.
Corban regained the lead in the 69th minute when Carley Ganchenko scored off an assist from Emilly Olvera. The Mounties showed resilience, with
Joslyn Sizemore finding the net in the 83rd minute to secure the 2-2 tie.
EOU tallied six shots on goal compared to the warriors four. Goalkeeper
Rylee Schei played the second half for Eastern Oregon, making two crucial saves to keep the Mounties in the game.
