Eastern Oregon Falls to #11 College of Idaho, 2-1

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon came up short against the College of Idaho, dropping a 2-1 decision in a Cascade Collegiate Conference matchup at Community Stadium on Saturday. 

The College of Idaho struck first in the 27th minute, with Alexis Eiguren scoring off an assist from Abbi Roubidoux. The Yotes doubled their lead early in the second half when Larissa Wegner found the back of the net in the 61st minute, putting them up 2-0.

Eastern Oregon responded quickly, cutting the deficit in half just five minutes later. Brooke Snyder scored in the 66th minute on a corner kick, with an assist credited to Peyton Jacaway. Despite several opportunities, the Mountaineers were unable to find the equalizer.

The Yotes finished the match with nine shots, five of which were on target, while the Mounties managed five total shots, with only one on goal. 
The match saw physical play, with both teams accumulating fouls and a pair of cards issued to College of Idaho's Gianna Yslava, who was shown a red card in the 90th minute.
