Men's Wrestling Earns Third Straight Conference Victory Over #9 ERAU

PRESCOTT, Ariz. - In their third and final Arizona match, Eastern Oregon Wrestling triumphed over the No. 9 nationally ranked Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a final score of 27-21. The Mounties showcased their dominance in the conference by previously defeating Vanguard University (29-12) and Arizona Christian (32-10) yesterday, marking their third straight conference victory.

RESULTS

  • At 125 pounds, Zach Mauras of Eastern Oregon secured a swift victory with a fall over Allan Hendricks in just 2:04, earning 6 points.
  • Braden Carson at 133 pounds continued the winning streak for Eastern Oregon, narrowly defeating Colby Evens with a 2-1 decision, adding 3 points to the team's score.
  • Embry-Riddle responded with a win at 141 pounds, as Carson Coy secured a major decision (MD) with a score of 16-4 over Cole Cross, earning 4 points.
  • AJ Rockwell at 149 pounds swiftly rebounded for Eastern Oregon, securing another fall in 3:20 against Adam Stanley, contributing 6 points to the team's total.
  • The 157-pound match went in favor of Jonah Chew from Embry-Riddle, who secured a 5-0 decision over Michael Fox, adding 3 points to their score.
  • At 165 pounds, Keller Rock of Embry-Riddle secured a technical fall (TF) with a score of 16-1 in just 3 minutes against Parker Robinson, earning 5 points.
  • Daniil Gorshkov continued Embry-Riddle's momentum at 174 pounds with an 11-7 decision over Wylee Lindeen, adding 3 points.

The Mountaineers will make their way back to Quinn Coliseum for their Senior Day on January 11 at 6:00 PM, facing off against Big Bend in a special celebration recognizing the seniors.
