The Cascade Collegiate Conference, to which Eastern Oregon belongs, demonstrates its strength with six teams securing positions in the top twenty of the rankings. The competitive landscape of the conference has undoubtedly played a role in Eastern Oregon's success, with the team winning their last five duels.

Eastern Oregon's impressive run also includes a significant victory over the 11th-ranked Embry-Riddle, defeating the Eagles 27-21 in Prescott.
