Women's Cross Country Enters Season Fourth in CCC

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon Women's Cross Country team is poised for an impactful season as they've been projected to share the fourth spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference preseason poll, as announced Thursday by the conference office.

The College of Idaho took the top spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference preseason poll, followed by Southern Oregon University in second place and Lewis-Clark State College in third. Eastern Oregon University and Oregon Tech each received 66 points each, tying for the fourth position. Northwest University secured the sixth spot, trailed by Corban University in seventh and Bushnell University in eighth. Rounding out the rankings, Multnomah University took ninth place, and The Evergreen State College landed in the tenth position.

The Mounties return several experienced distance runners such as Lauryn Mitchell, Riley Morris, Elizabeth Young, and Madelyn Nichols.

The CCC Cross Country championships are scheduled for Nov. 3. The competition is hosted by the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. The winning team of the championship will automatically qualify for the NAIA National Championships, set for Nov. 17th in Vancouver, Washington.
