Leatherwood’s Home Run Helps Mounties Split Day One At UBC

VANCOUVER, BC-  The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers (13-7) were back on the road for some more CCC play as they traveled north to face the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds (9-6). Game one started off in the Mounties' favor as Gates Leatherwood's first at bat was a three-run home run that helped lift the Mounties to a 9-1 win. Game two was a defensive battle as both teams combined for a total of six hits. UBC was able to get on the board first and take game two in a 2-1 win. EOU will look to bounce back tomorrow in Vancouver, British Columbia, facing UBC at 11 am and 1 pm back in Nobel Park.
