Harris-Shaw’s Season High Leads Mounties Over Lions

PORTLAND, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University took care of business on the road Friday night against Multnomah University. The Mounties handled the Lions easily taking a 79-61 victory thanks to a season-high 24 points from Adyson Harris-Shaw. With the win the Mounties advance to 20-2 overall and 15-1 in CCC action.

Eastern didn't waste any time jumping out to a 24-16 lead in the first quarter led by Harris-Shaw's 7 points. The Mounties added on in the second to take a 17 point lead at the half, 48-31 that would have been 19 if not for a Lion bucket at the buzzer. Brie Holecek had a massive second frame going 4-5 from deep to account for exactly half of Eastern's second quarter points. EOU spread it around with seven players getting on the board in the third quarter to build on their lead even more outscoring the Lions 16-11. With the game in hand Eastern cruised through the fourth quarter to a 79-61 victory.

Up next for Eastern is an afternoon tilt against Warner Pacific. The Mounties will take on the Knights tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
