PORTLAND, Ore.- The No. 16 ranked Mountaineer Women's Basketball team made short work of the Warner Pacific Knights on Saturday evening. EOU outscored Warner Pacific in every quarter coasting to an 87-53 win. With the win the Mounties advance to 21-2 overall and 16-1 in CCC play while extending their winning streak to 11 games.
 
Eastern came out on the attack from the start as 
Shaelie Burgess and 
Beverly Slater led Eastern to a 19-10 first quarter advantage. The Mounties didn't let off the gas as they poured on the second quarter, this time it was 
Sailor Liefke doing the damage. The guard put up 10 points while knocking down a couple of deep balls to help put EOU up 46-26 at the half while the team shot 75% from three in the second quarter. EOU's offense slowed down in the third quarter as the Knights were able to hold them to lowest quarter score of the day with 16, but EOU responded with 24 in the fourth quarter to put the Knights away, 87-53.
 
EOU will hit the road Tuesday night for a bout with rival College of Idah then return home for the final time in the regular season this upcoming weekend. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. MT against the Yotes on Tuesday night.
