Phillip Malatare notching career point 1,000 as a Mountaineer. EOU took a comfortable 88-66 win over the Geoducks of Evergreen State College to move to 18-9 on the year and 15-6 in CCC play.

The Mounties didn't hesitate to jump out to a lead and never trailed the entire game. Eastern shot the ball well throughout the game going 33-63 from the field and 13-27 from deep. A balanced attack led by Emmit Taylor, who racked up 17 points on the evening, helped Eastern go up 49-36 at the half. EOU built on the lead throughout the second half where Taylor scored 11 of his 17 points going 3-4 from distance. The Mounties took home a comfortable 88-66 win.

Eastern will wrap up regular season play tomorrow when they take on the Eagles of Northwest University. Tipoff is set for 5 PM.
