SPOKANE, Wash. - Eastern Oregon was back in action Tuesday evening as they took on the NCAA D1 No.11 ranked Bulldogs of Gonzaga University in an exhibition matchup. The Bulldogs secured a 123-57 win against the Mountaineers, leveraging their size to build a 33-rebound advantage.
Eastern was led in scoring by senior point guard,
AJ Huddleston. Huddleston scored 12 points on 5-7 shooting, adding two threes for the Mountaineers.Â
Brennen Newsom also went 3-3 from the field, securing 4 rebounds in 16 minutes of play.
Vanti Erving also made his presence felt, scoring 8 points and grabbing 3 rebounds.
Gonzaga's Graham Ike and Braden Huff were standout performers, scoring 25 and 23 points, respectively. Ike also dominated the boards with 11 rebounds.
The Mountaineers will be back at Quinn Coliseum for their home opener on Friday, Nov. 17, taking on the Saints of Carroll College.
