LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon continued CCC play Friday night at home taking on Warner Pacific University in the Quinn Coliseum. The Mountaineers controlled the match from beginning to end winning in three sets, 25-13, 25-11, 25-13.
The No. 2 Mounties continued their string of dominant offensive performances and stifling defense. Offensively the Mounties had 44 kills to Warner Pacific's 18. The Mountaineers utilized a balanced attack having five players with six or more kills. Eastern was particularly effective serving on the night with seven aces.
Defensively the Mounties held a big advantage in the block category with eight blocks to WPU's two.
EOU continues conference play tomorrow evening when they take on Multnomah University at home with first serve set for 5 p.m. in Quinn Coliseum.
