LA GRANDE, Ore. – Mountaineer Men's Basketball is home for the final time in the regular season this weekend as they will square off against two Washington State opponents. It will also be Pink Out Night on Friday, followed by Senior Day on Saturday.

• The Mountaineers (14-12, 8-10 CCC) will look to get back into the winners circle and snap a two-game skid this weekend.
• Eastern is currently sits tied for seventh in the league standings entering the final two weeks of regular season play.
• EOU has fared well at home this season with an 8-3 record. This will be the team's final home games ahead of the CCC Tournament.
• Following the home weekend tilt, EOU wraps up regular season play on the road in Portland against Multnomah and Warner Pacific.

• Spectators will be allowed at EOU sporting events, but masks will be required to be worn correctly (over mouth AND nose) at ALL indoor and outdoor events per state and local policy. This is subject to change at any time.
• Failure to comply with conference or institutional attendance policies will result in removal from venue and any further EOU contests.

• Concessions and hospitality dining will no longer be available for both indoor and outdoor EOU athletic events. Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside Quinn Coliseum.

• Saturday's game will be Senior Day for Mountaineer Men's Basketball as well. Three seniors will be recognized for their contributions to the program.
• This year's 2021-22 seniors are

Zane Wright. The trio will be honored prior to tip-off of the men's basketball game.
Eastern Oregon Canned Food Drive
• Fans that attend Saturday's game are encouraged to bring a canned food item or a monetary donation as part of Food Drive Month at EOU.
• Fans that bring a can of food or a monetary donation will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a basket of local business goodies courtesy of EOU.
• Eastern Oregon has met 75% of its goal for the month of February and wants you the fans to help reach that goal of 100%.

Last Time Out
• EOU dropped a pair of road games last weekend falling against Walla Walla University and Lewis-Clark State College.
• Against the Wolves, EOU was unable to overcome a slow start and fell 85-74 in what was the first ever defeat at the hand of WWU.
Cooper Lumsden scored 30 points to pace EOU.
• Against LC State, The Mountaineers kept the score within striking distance, but rallies and responses by the Warriors gave them the 65-55 win at home.
Xavier Lovelace led the way with 16 points.
Previously Against Evergreen State/Northwest
• The Mountaineers and Geoducks will square off for the first time this season as the previous contest was a forfeit win for EOU due to COVID protocols with the Geoducks.
• Since the 2008-09 season, Eastern is 19-1 against Evergreen. At home, the Mounties are 9-0 against the Geoducks in that span.
• Northwest secured a 86-70 home win earlier this season against Eastern.

Scouting the Competition
Evergreen State Geoducks
• The Geoducks are just 3-19 overall and 3-15 in CCC play entering the weekend. They are just 2-10 in true road games this season.
• Evergreen averages 71.2 points per game on 40.1% shooting. They shoot just 29.6% from three-point range. Evergreen dishes out just 10.8 assists per game and gives up 13.3 turnovers per game.
• The Geoducks are allowing 89.5 points per game on 51.1% shooting by opponents. They grab just 32.1 rebounds per game along with 1.7 blocks per game. They average just 8.1 steals per game as well.
• Austin Curry leads the way in scoring at 17.4 points per game and is the top rebounder at 8.2 boards per game. He also leads the team in assists with 56.
• Second in scoring is LaBrandon Price at 13.7 points per game. He leads the team in steals at 46 and is second in assists with 43.
• Mitch Wetmore is third in scoring at 12.1 points per game. He also has 15 steals on the year.
• Lane Kennedy and Curry are tied for the team lead in blocks at 11, respectively. Kennedy is also tied for second in total assists with 43.
Northwest Eagles
• The Eagles are 10-13 overall entering the weekend and are 7-11 against CCC opponents. They are just 307 in true road games this season.
• NU is averaging 76.3 points per game on 47.2% shooting. They shoot 34.8% from deep and dish out 17.8 assists per game. They do give up 12.4 assists per game.
• On defense, the Eagles are allowing 77.2 points per game on 46.4% shooting overall and 34.3% from deep. They average just 35.0 rebounds per game along with 7.3 steals per game and 2.0 blocks per contest.
• CaCoa Chatman leads the way in scoring at 14.4 points per game and is second in assists at 4.1 per game.
• Rayvaughn Blton is second in scoring at 12.8 points per game. He leads the team in assists at 4.7 per game and is tied for the lead in rebounding at 6.2 per game.
• Tanner Davis is also tied for the leading in rebounding at 6.2 per contest. He is third in scoring at 12.4 points per game.
• Connor Drinkwine rounds out the double-digit scoring average at 10.4 points per game.
