LA GRANDE, Ore.- The Mounties were back in action at home Saturday afternoon as they took on the Eagles of Northwest University. It was a back and forth match between two of the top teams in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Mounties ended up taking the match 1-0 over the Eagles. 

The match was back and forth as both teams played great defense throughout the entire match. It was the Mounties who led the shot battle in the match, accounting for 11 total shots and 6 of which were on goal. After a long stretch of the match, it was the Mounties who were able to strike first. Just after halftime, in the late 45th minute Kana Mateaki was able to break past the Eagle defense and find the back of the net. The goal was followed by a great pass from Mountie Midfielder, Erika Skindlov. The Mounties defense stayed strong, not allowing a goal by the Eagles for the full 90 minutes.

This match marks the end of CCC play and the Mounties will await to see who they will take on in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament on Nov. 7 in Springfield, Ore
