KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The No. 1 Mountaineers added another win to their now six-game winning streak Friday night in Klamath Falls. Oregon Tech was able to take the first set 25-19, but the Mountaineers responded with three straight victories to take the match, 25-19, 25-14, 27-25.
The Hustling Owls came from behind in the first set to jump up to a 1-0 lead over the No. 1 Mountaineers as they hit .257 to the Mounties' .057. Eastern responded in the second jumping out to an 8-2 lead early. Oregon Tech compiled 12 errors as the Mounties worked their way to a 25-19 set win to even up the match.
Eastern's offense came to life in the third set as they ran away with a 25-14 victory thanks to 15 kills while hitting .333. The fourth and final set of the evening turned into a thriller as EOU came back late to edge out the Owls 27-25 for the match victory.
Eastern will wrap up their last regular season road trip of the year taking on the Southern Oregon in Ashland, Ore. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
