PORTLAND, Ore. – The No. 1 Mountaineers picked up their second sweep of the weekend in a dominant win over the Knights of Warner Pacific University. An efficient offensive attack that hit .394 on the night helped fuel the Mountaineers to a three-set sweep over the Knights, 25-11, 25-11, 25-8. With the win the Mounties move to 24-2 on the year.
EOU came out on the attack jumping out to a 6-0 lead on their way to a 25-11 set victory in the first. The Mounties put up a dominant performance at the net hitting .314 along with five blocks defensively. Eastern didn't let off the gas in the second racking up 17 kills while hitting .438 on their way to a 25-11 set victory. The third and final set ended in similar fashion as the Mountaineers won by their biggest margin of the night to clinch the sweep, 25-8.
Eastern continues a stretch on the road when they take the court again next Friday, Oct. 28. EOU is scheduled to take on Oregon Tech at 7 p.m.
