ASHLAND, Ore.- The No. 25 ranked Mountaineers were back in action Friday afternoon as they took on the Raiders of Southern Oregon University. It was a tough day for the Mounties as the Raiders were able to control most of the match, eventually winning 4-0. 

The Southern Oregon Raiders came out hot against the Mountaineers in the first half, striking first in the fifth minute to take an early 1-0 lead. Despite the struggles the Mounties had, they were able to tally four shots in the first half of tonight's match with one of those being a shot on goal that was saved by the Raider defense. The Mounties would fall behind 2-0 after a 26th minute goal by SOU. After 45 minutes of play the score remained 2-0, Raiders.

The Mounties did not have the same defensive impact that we have been accustomed to seeing throughout the 2022 season. SOU would tack on two more goals in the 46th minute, early in the second half. The Mounties would not be able to overcome the deficit, eventually falling 4-0.

The Mounties will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 15 as they travel to Klamath Falls, Ore. to take on The Owls of Oregon Tech University. Kick off is set for 12:00 p.m.
