LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon University Women's Basketball continues on with conference play this weekend as the team is back on the road to battle a pair of in-state rivals. The Mountaineers games this weekend will also wrap up a an eight-game road trip for the team.

• EOU and Southern last squared off in 2019-20, playing in three contests. Eastern was 2-1 against the Raiders.

Southern Oregon Raiders
• The Raiders enter the weekend with a 7-1 overall record, are 1-0 to start conference play, and have won each of their last five games. SOU is also receiving votes in the latest NAIA top-25 poll. They are 3-0 at home to start the year.
• Through eight games, SOU is averaging 72.4 points per game on 40.6% shooting. They shoot 30.9% from deep and dish out 13.6 assists per game.
• Defensively, the Raiders are limiting opponents to just 52.5 points on 37.6% shooting. They allow just 28.6% from three-point range and grab 29.5 boards per game. SOU is tallying 13.9 steals per game and 3.4 blocks per game.
• Kami Walk is pacing the offense averaging 17.3 points per game on 50.6% shooting. She is 52-58 from the free throw line as well for 89.7%.Â
• Walk also leads the way in rebounding at 8.3 per game to go along with 11 steals and a team best seven blocked shots.Â
• Second in scoring is Kalei Iwami who averages 9.6 points per game. She is shooting 32.6% from beyond the arc. She is second in total assists with 14 and has nine steals on the year.
• Brianna Phiakhamngon is fourth in scoring at 8.8 points per game and is leading the team in assists. She has 22 total and averages 2.8 per game.
• Leading the way in steals is Danasia Allison with 19 total. She averages 2.4 per game. Second is Kenadee Honker at 16 and averages 2.0 per game.
• Clara Robbins is tied for the team lead in blocks with seven. She is also chipping in 5.3 points per game.
Oregon Tech Hustlin' Owls
• OIT is 5-1 entering the weekend with the team's lone loss coming in the conference opener against Southern Oregon. At home, OIT is 2-0 to start the year.
• Offensively, the Hustlin' Owls average 76.2 points per game and shoot 49.4% from the floor. They are shooting 46.7% from three-point range and dish out 16.7 assists per game.
• Defensively, OIT is holding opponents to just 51.8 points per game on 32.3% shooting. They allow just 21.8% from deep and average 45.8 rebounds per game. OIT notches 9.7 steals per game and blocks 2.7 shots per game.
• Kristin Farrell leads three double figure scorers at 11.2 points per game. She is shooting 58.5% from the floor and a staggering 65.4% (17-26) from beyond the arc.
• Shelby Blodgett averages 11.0 points per game and is the team leader in rebound at 6.0 per game. She is shooting 44.9% from the field and is a 99.5% free throw shooter (21-22).
