CALDWELL, Idaho - 12th-ranked Eastern Oregon University Women's Soccer saw its seven game winning streak snapped Sunday afternoon as the Mountaineers fell on the road to College of Idaho, 3-1. With the loss, EOU is now 7-2-0 overall and 4-1-0 in conference play.
How it Happened
• Both teams took over 10 shots in the contest with EOU having the slight edge at 14-13. The Yotes (8-2-0, 5-0-0 CCC) had the edge though in shots on goal at 6-5.
• The Yotes scored two of three goals in the first period to lead Eastern by one at the halftime break. The first goal of the contest was in the 27th minute by the Mountaineers.

Kaitlyn McLeod found the back of the net for EOU as she was able to weave through the defense for the goal. The score remained in EOU's favor for just five minutes.
• C of I answered with a PK shot in the 33rd minute after a handball call went against the Mountaineers in the penalty area. Lily Schlake made the shot for C of I to tie the match at 1-1.
• The Yotes grabbed their first lead of the game in the 41st minute on the foot of Alexa Rierson. She hit a free kick from 21 yards out and hit the upper right end of the net to make it 2-1.
• The score remained at 2-1 going into halftime. C of I had the lead thanks to a 6-5 advantage in shots.
• The lead for the Yotes grew to two goals early in the second period. Kaitlyn Ramon scored on an assist from Chloe Teets in the 47th minute to help C of I create some separation.
• The Mountaineers were unable to respond but had chances.
Morgan Farrington had a pair of quality shots on goal in the 70th and 72nd, but neither connected.
• In the second period, EOU had nine shots taken, while C of I tallied seven. In net, the combined efforts of Shae Waters and Hannah McFadden helped the Yotes limit the EOU offense.
