LA GRANDE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon University Men's Soccer suffered another loss Saturday evening as the Mountaineer dropped a 1-0 contest at home against Southern Oregon inside Community Stadium. With the loss, EOU is now 4-8-0 overall and 4-5-0 in CCC play.
How it Happened
• Although it was a low scoring affair, the Raiders (12-2-0, 8-2-0 CCC) held a 12-5 shots edge and kept the Mountaineers from putting one shot on goal.
• On the flip side, EOU defense did surrender just three shots on goal in 90 minutes of action. Southern had the advantage in corner kicks at 5-3, while the foul count had EOU in front at 11-7.
• The lone goal of the contest came just inside of 15 minutes. Alan Gaytan played a header goal from the middle and hit the lower right end of the net from 10 yards in the 11th minute.
• Going into the halftime break, the Raiders had five shots and their defense held the Mountaineers to just one in that same span. SOU's lone shot on goal was good for the goal.
• The second frame of action did not see anyone find the back of the net, but there were chances on the SOU side. The Raiders had seven more shots and had two come on frame.
• In net,
Noah Galow made saves on both shots. EOU's offense established some rhythm taking four more shots in the second period but none came on goal to bring the score to its final of 1-0.

• In net, Liam Kalhagen was credited the shutout in the win.
