No. 18 Mountaineers Handle Corban on the Road

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The No. 18 Eastern Oregon men's wrestling team won decisively 36-9 over Corban University (receiving votes in the NAIA top-25) on Friday afternoon in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

The Mountaineers (14-5) dominated the day with wins in seven of eight scheduled matches. Corban earned six of its nine points from a forfeit to start the dual, winning just one other match by decision.

After the first round forfeit, EOU won the next six matches, with one forfeit and one medical forfeit. Sophomore Keegan Mulhill won by a first round pin at 174 pounds. Senior Blake McNall and juniors Marco Retano and Noel Orozco each won by major decisions. Sophomore Jesse Camacho and freshman Nathan Rodriguez each posted decision wins while Daniel Rodriguez won by the medical forfeit after leading 4-0.

The Mounties will get set for a rivalry dual on Saturday at Southern Oregon to wrap up the regular season. The dual is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Ashland.
